I love your pictures of Karlskirche! I live down the street and I feel so proud of this Vienna icon.
ReplyDeleteLindsay,
ReplyDeletethank you!
I try to walk around the church's neighbourhood whenever I can. It is always uplifting.
Angels with spears? We tend to forget that they are the warriors of God, I guess.
ReplyDeleteOh Karlplatz ! Karlskirche is wonderful, I love this Church ! and I like very much the Jugendstil sunflowers witch décorate the place.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these marvellous photos of your wonderful city !

Merisi,
ReplyDeleteVienna looks a wonderful city!
I would love to be there...
Have a pleasant day!
Ah ha!
ReplyDeleteIs that where the word 'platz' comes from...
As in-
"go platz yourself over there till I'm done talking..."
Nice.
Such simplicity and style in the tables and chairs in front of the Karlskirche! I just love this image.
ReplyDeleteLovely and I am betting that no one sends you any images of corners without tables and chairs. When I think of the many wonderful images you have shared, it just seems natural to view them...inviting one in for a cup of cafe' mocha and a nice conversation, or to just sit and linger awhile~
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful bits of blue!
ReplyDeleteWe were at Karlsplatz on a cold December day for the Advent market. I loved it. It looks so different in summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Merisi
