The extensive gardens between Prince Eugene's
Lower and Upper Belvedere Palaces

that open up and close behind you,
depending on which path you chose
to walk - or hide - when crossing
the grounds between the palaces

are enchanting throughout the seasons,
but their allure is especially irresistible
in late October

from inspired lemony to warm golden yellows,
with a tinge of timid apricot thrown in,
yet also hold on to soft fragile green,
as if not wanting to let go
of summer's memories

Beautiful autumnal pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou're on a roll, Merisi. I can't quite place precisely what you're doing differently, but whatever it is, it's very good.
ReplyDeleteAlmost a fantasy image. Love the wall of vines with the blue wall in the background.
ReplyDeleteYour images are a feast for the eyes and soul. I'm loving how you're developing variations on different themes. And the Cafe Kandinsky of earlier this week I'd love to blow up into a poster!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos :-)
ReplyDeleteI like very much your automne and yours skies!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy sunday!
That second image is gorgeous. I LOVE the contrast of faded blueish and gray in the center of all that green.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ... the curtain of leaves looks like lace!
