And a few forelorn heralds
Under a deep blue sky.
In the Imperial Palace's Courtyard,
A dozen or so tourists,
Braving the merciless heat.
Only steps from relief!
Of the garden hose variety,
Just outside the courtyard,
A Few More Steps Onwards
"Catch the drops!"
And the best place in town,
May well be here,
Under the fountain,
Contemplating a dive into the pond!
Under the bridge,
Trying to find some shade!
Make my day!
Oh yes, and then,
No more words!
All I Want to Do
In the shade
And smell the roses!
I especailly love the ducks and the water.ReplyDelete
The statue sure looks surprised.
The mallard appears to be undertaking her post-nuptial moult as she seems to have shed some tail coverts behind her.ReplyDelete
It was a lovely moment, watching the birds around the fountain. Made me want to dive right in. ;-)
she did what many of us would want to do when the heat becomes suffocating: Shed a few feathers! ;-)
Are you that very attractive lady, second photo from last? I think we should be told!ReplyDelete
Back to rain in England.
The ducks certainly have the right idea! :)ReplyDelete
