  2. So that's why you haven't been blogging! I am sure you enjoyed Venice as much as I enjoyed looking at your photos. I can only dream about that Tiramisu for now, but I will keep it in mind when I go to Venice next time ;)

  4. While it is a sunny, winter morning in Texas and I'm happy to see the first signs of spring here, your photos take me away to a dreamy Sunday morning in one of my favorite cities. If only those time-worn buildings and bridges could talke.......what stories they could tell!!

  5. Those blues and greens are chasing a very blah day away here.

  6. And you were jealous of Simon's list!! I am so smitten green at your being in Venice in February!

You have a photo captioned "May I tempt you?" I am so very tempted...to draw and to paint...may I? Would you give me permission to work with your photo?
Please with whipped cream on top and maybe some cinnamon too!?!

  10. Hi Merisi, nice to see you back. Nice town, I suppose it is better in winter with fewer tourists. Nice female House Sparrow down below.

  11. I'm reading William Riviere's By The Grand Canal; reading your blog is a great visual supplement to reading the great novel. :-)

Venice and Rome, both are magic early on a Sunday morning.

Allie, those old walls do talk, believe me! Or have I gone mad? ;-)))

    tut-tut:
I am so glad they do!

    LDahl:

    Thank you! :-)

    Maalie:
I find Venice a city where it's quite easy to escape the crowds, but I do love this time of the year there, at the cusp of spring.
(I was mighty proud of capturing a bird, at long last!)

    Abhinav:
    Thank you!
Thank you twice, I haven't read William Riviere's By The Grand Canal, so I shall look for this book!

    Luc:
It is really hard not being able to visit, even if it were only for a couple of hours, isn't it? I did visit "your" church this time, you'll see. Abbraccione! ;-)
