Okay, okay - fico d'india - I told you my Italian is woeful. I saw your menu board and thought Ravioli di zucca - was ravioli with sugar!!! Close! I love that essentially in this post you have tried to capture "the air". It suggests a whimsical soul. You're my kind of people!
Your first photo conveys that feeling that snow is in the air. It just feels like the snow will be coming anytime. How I miss that feeling . . .thank you for the reminder.
Sally Crawford from London: I'll join you with a plate of ravioli ripieni di zucca. :-)
freefalling: I hadn't read the weather report, but there was definitely snow in the air. There was a special atmosphere, but only when the flakes come dancing down at St. Stephan's Place, did I realize that I had felt them coming all along.
Re Zucca: I shall never forget Elizabeth Taylor exclaiming "La mia bella zucca!" in the Italian version of the the movie "Giant" (with Rock Hudson and James Dean). Had me in stitches, I found it so funny imagining la Taylor with a pumpkin on her shoulders.
Hi HEXE, you are welcome! :-) You swang by on your broom so silently, I didn't hear you. ;-) Yes, as I said in my previous comment, snow was definitely in the air. Looking at that first photo now, I should have seen it coming.
*sigh* It's all so lovely Merisi, so very lovely. But right now, after months of non stop rain I wouldn't trade my warm sunshine and blue skies for snow filled air! :-D
Rumpsteak mit Erdapfel-Kurbisrosti, please.

Snow and roses! Cool.
