Fasten your Seatbelt
We are going to have Coffee in Venice


I know, I know,
this is supposed to be
a blog about Vienna


Still, here we are, fresh off the boat
at the Rialto fish market


looking for coffee
along a nearby Calle


As promised, we are now sipping real Italian espresso,
al banco - at the counter, as you are supposed to do
when you are in Venice

    Love the picture of the gondola...great angle. However, the plastic fork in the plastic cup doesn't compare to the coffee on the silver tray with the down turned spoon on a glass of water and a day in Vienna.

      Being a small place, and inundated with tourists most of the year, leaves traces and scars.
      The thoughtlessly left behind plastic trash is but a reminder of how easily we mar beautiful places, unfortunately.

      I used to love a Venice blog by a Frenchman, alas, it has disappeared.
      I have come across a few by people not actually living there, and it shows.
