September Roses at Dawn
Dreaming of Italian Days

In the cool light of the early morning -
the sun still low over the horizon,

long shadows blanketing the rose beds -
there shone these beauties,

dreaming of bursting into a riot of colours
at the touch of the first sun rays.

Photographed by Merisi
in the garden of an old farmhouse
in the lowlands of the
Venetian Lagoon.

  1. Following my comments on the previous posts, I'd like to point out that these are images shot in JPEG, only their size has been changed (I can save images on my camera in RAW and JPEG, quite handy).

A wonderful day to all of you,
and thank you again for all your kind comments,
    Merisi

  6. Thank you all!

The light was literally "blue" - no sun ray had found its way into the garden yet.

  8. Eleonora,
    grazie, cara principessa!
    L'estate e' passata dropo velocemente,
o ero in viaggio or studiando.
Lo fa sempre, mi pare. :-(
