  18. Those crepuscular rays are absolutely breathtaking! I honestly literally gasped when I saw those pictures. The swan is a beautiful addition to the composition.

  19. These are stunning shots Merisi. Those swans are also beautiful.
    In the 19th century a ship was wrecked off our coast near Jeffreys Bay and a pair of swans were released and made one of the rivers their home. Their off-spring survived there for many years and they were even featured in one of our bird books.
    Unfortunately with all the development in the area they eventually disappeared - probably about 30 years ago. When my wife and I went to look for them one many years ago we were informed they were last seen about 2 years previously. Quite sad

  49. Well! Those are just amazingly beautiful! How serendipitous that that graceful swan was there right where it should be, too!? These photos are stunning. Thanks for posting these--we're anticipating storms/possible hurricane winds tonight and this will be on my mind to help me through them--I'll remember that at some point, all will be calm and beautiful once again.
