Meinl's Red Fez at Backhausen

The beautiful Backhausen Store
offers treasures for the home, among them original "Wiener Werkstätte" interior textiles,
still handwoven in Lower Austria.

Backhausen houses also the
"Wiener Werkstätte" Museum,
well worth the one (!) Euro entrance fee.
Last not least, Backhousen is located on Schwarzenbergstrasse,
right around the corner from Café Schwarzenberg,
not to be missed as well. ;-)

Julius Meinl's Trend Cups
by Matteo Thun:

The unique thing about the Meinl Moor is his headpiece, the red fez. We have chosen this as the basic element for the design of the new collection Meinl Trend. A must for all coffee connoisseurs!” Matteo Thun of Milan has designed the new logo and the Meinl Trend collection.

(Quoted from the Meinl website)

Last October, I spotted these same Meinl cups
in an optician's store window,
pictured here.
I still haven't bought one (30 Euros each!).
Hard to resist, though. ;-)

The first image in this post reminds me of a black and white movie poster for the wonderfully romantic film "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg" ("The Umbrellas of Cherbourg"), a scene with umbrellas drifting over city roofs.
I've been trying to find it again for a long time now, but it eludes me. Maybe I only dreamed about it? ;-)
