Tx for your comments, Becca! I encountered those chicken guards during a pumpkin parade last saturday in Retz; they were part of a float with a recreation of a scene from "Max and Moritz". One of those days I'll post some pictures from the parade. ;-)
You have so many many fabulous photos in recent posts - truly lovely and wonderful fun to see. I love the chicken gourds with hats!
