    1. You'd feel quite at home, Giacomo! On Graben square, Italian is the language most often heard around Christmastime in Vienna.
Yesterday, on the 27th, I had 2 hours to while away between 6 and 8 PM, so I took a long walk around town. Evenings are magical! After the movie, I meandered a bit before heading home, it was 11 PM and the streets were alive with people walking around, the Christmas illuminations still on.

    2. (I quite regretted to not have my camera with me - those 2 hours sprung up unexpectedly. Oh yes, as they say, ALWAYS carry your camera!)

    3. I agree! Italians love Vienna around Christmas! A godfather in our family always makes his ways up to Vienna, driving all the way from Italy.
We Viennese used to love the bold colours when the Italian pupils populated the city around Easter. Duvet jackets in green, red, blue, yellow. It became a fixture in the 1980's. And the chatter! All the chatter. <3

  10. The fog you caught was amazing. Such a fog, that creeps around the corners does not happen to often. I am happy to find your photos.
Do you know the Yellow Fog at "Verbund", Am Hof? It starts everyday around sunset.
