The Baroque Garden Pavilion of Melk Abbey
Viennese Escapes - Lower Austria

In the late afternoon
the sun finally broke through,

revealing a sky so beautiful
Tiepolo could have painted it

The leaves of the Linden trees and the rose bushes
sparkled in the late afternoon light

The Garden Pavilion's mullioned doors
were wide open, beckoning to come inside

Photographed 26 June 2013
in the baroque gardens of
Melk Abbey, an hour's drive west of Vienna
Lower Austria
