  2. Breathtaking blossoms! And that cafe -- all those tender shades of white!

  3. The Wanderers' Daughter,
oh, it feels so good, finally spring,
the blossoms, the air, the light!

    Vicki Lane,
the wind almost kept me from catching those blossoms! I was surprised to find those chairs empty, so inviting to sit down and soak in the late afternoon sun.

Come to think of it, this was supposed to be the second Sunday in spring, or was it? *ohdear*
I think I am going to change the title. ;-)

  4. Vicki,
you may have heard about the Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard. In his biographical book "Wittgenstein's Nephew" he writes about how he and his friend Paul (the nephew of the title) enjoyed sitting on that particular terrace of the Sacher, "looking at the back of the opera house" (he did not use "back" but more direct language - made me laugh out loud when I read it the first time, imagining those two guys sitting there, staring at the backside of the opera house).

  5. Merisi, it looks as if Vienna has caught the toss of early spring and is running with it! New York is taking a few steps backwards, but we hope to get going again by midweek.

The colors in this post are just the palette that cheers me.

The Chanel windows do make me wonder if some stylist was trying just a bit too hard. Well, in my line of work I do know that stylists do not always quite get it right, and that they usually need to do their planning months ahead of the day the design Appears!

    Best wishes. xo
