Signs Of Spring

Hope
With the help of the midday sun,
a not so timid leaf dares a peak
in the midst of winter's deep freeze,
defying the odds
in -12°C temperatures

  1. It looks almost like alien fingers digging up from below, escaping the time of the great freeze.

  2. Elegant simplicity -- the violet-white of winter wrapped around the yellow-green of spring.

  3. It's 22F degrees here, with an inch of fresh snow.

    Lovely pic!

  5. Even though it's still winter proper, doesn't it seem like we are all looking (longingly) for signs of spring? I spotted my first snowdrops yesterday.

I just want to tuck down into the covers and forget about it all.

  8. Oh, how beautiful, Merisi. That is, indeed, a brave little leaf.

I loved your Chanel window pictures, too. You have an amazing eye to capture scenes that most people walk right by.

It's always a pleasure to visit your Vienna as seen through the lens of your camera.
