  1. Somehow, I slipped into my fifth year of blogging.
I am still here because of YOU!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
for keeping my here. I feel still a beginner, here in this beautiful city, but evermore in love with her.
I am looking forward to get to know her a little better still, step by step, image by image.
Thank you to all and everyone who make it possible.
    Hugs,
    Merisi

  2. Absolutely stunning, Merisi! Haha, isn't it funny that we're all already hoping for spring?

I think that's the beauty of trying to get at the heart of something - there is always something more to see and learn. :) Thank you for sharing all your findings, you perspectives - I'm loving every single post!

  5. @ Renate,
imagine, I woke very early, before the sun climbed over the horizon, and all I saw was snow, snow, snow! It must have snowed quite a bit overnight. I decided to leave a little early for the city, in order to be able to exit the U4 at Stadtpark and walk to my destination. There were still traces of snow and it was bitterly cold, but the sun was shining from a bright blue sky, with those white clouds that only serve to reflect the light and play with occasional shadows. By the time I entered Prückel (and left almost immediately because the smoke in there was unbearable), the light was almost springlike, as captured in the photo. I realized that I had become tired of winter nights and longed for longer days and green peeking through the windows in the morning!

    @ Martin H.,
    thank you,
I am grateful for your kind comment!

  6. @ The Good Life in Virginia,
isn't it funny how I take these pictures where everyone thinks I was in coffee and pastries up to my ears, yet I went without and went even hungry until after two in the afternoon (not that I am in danger of looking like a waif any time soon *smile*).
I love Rome, and the South of Italy especially,
I wish you a wonderful journey there!

  9. Your blog is always a joy -- and oh! those tulips!

What a beautiful sunny cafe -- but I couldn't stay either if there was smoke -- my one allergy.

Congratulations on five years! I look forward to many, many more.

  11. Spring in the air in Vienna? It's not fair, Great Britain is still in winter's icy grip!

But take care, winter sometimes has a sting in its tail!

  13. Merisi, I too visit more than I comment, but one can say beautiful only so many times before the response is "so what?". But why do I keep visiting for years... Silly, it's because looking through your eyes is...BEAUTIFUL!!!!

    Happy Fifth!
