This Little Rose

Nobody knows this little Rose --
It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.

Only a Bee will miss it --
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey --
On its breast to lie --

Only a Bird will wonder --
Only a Breeze will sigh --
Ah Little Rose -- how easy
For such as thee to die!

Emily Dickinson

  2. As a matter of fact you have captured a very interesting image there (besides the beautiful roses). The House Sparrow is a this year's juvenile undergoing post-juvenile moult. You can clearly see his male plumage emerging, though he has a little way to go yet to completion.

May I have your permission to download it?

  8. What a beautifully dense swirl of rose petals and the sparrow is fascinating.
