Thank you all for your kind comments, I am on my way to see your skies! :-)

    Erin,
*sigh* - today's was a long day, but it brought back the sun with mostly blue skies and - best of all - low humidity. I feel like reborn! :-)

  6. What a great skyshoot! From grey, through all the blues to that second last glorious dusk shot, so blue you could lose yourself in it.

  7. A bumper collection of skies all the colours from cool to hot. Especially like by dawn's early light.

  9. This is a wonderful sequence. I like the subtle changes in the light of the day. Imperceptible a little at a time, but dramatic all together.

  10. Those are all great shots. You captured the full moon so well. I tried to shoot that here recently but didn't get a very good shot.

  16. Loved watching the day begin and end from your side of the world. Beautiful. I do think 4:30 AM is a bit too early though. Such sacrifices to get the dawn's early light.

At 4.19 am? Getting up of course! *giggle*

The last time I went to bed at first light I was still a teenager! My mother promply caught me while I was trying to sneak into the house. My punishment was staying up and go pick a pail of wild raspberries in the woods. I still have nightmares of standing in the hot August sun, brambles all over me, mosquitos attacking me and the pail staying half empty. ;-)

  34. A terrific series of photos.
    How precious our atmosphere is.
I mean... that sounds like a crazy [because so obvious] statement to make, but in a recent book I read [Bill Bryson's, A Short History of Nearly Everything]... the author pointed out the extreme fragility of that blueness that you have captured in your photos here.
He said that, comparatively speaking, in relation to the size of the planet, our atmosphere represents the thickness of a coat of varnish on an average-size schoolroom globe!
    That is sobering.
Without this space between the earth's surface and what we call "outer space" well [needless to say, really] life would not.... exist.
