Poppies in the Summerwind

The summer wind,

came blowin in

from across the sea

It lingered there,

so warm and fair -

to walk with me ...

Like painted kites, those days and nights - went flyin by
The world was new, beneath a blue - umbrella sky
Then softer than, a piper man - one day it called to you
And I lost you, to the summer wind

Photographed by Merisi
35 miles east of Vienna
In the poppy fields
near Rohrau
Lower Austria

  7. Clicking on the first pictures will take you to Frank Sinatra singing the song.

The second picture will let you listen to "Sphärenklänge" - Music of the Spheres - by Johann Strauss, performed by the Vienna Philharmonic under Daniel Barenboim at this year's New Year's Concert.

    Enjoy! :-)

  8. I am so sorry,
"Sphärenklänge" is by Josef Strauss, of course - how could I?
(I hope I will be able to keep my residency in Vienna after this faux pas!).

I loved the music you chose for the single red poppy! I added it to my favorites. I could fall asleep to that even though it's so full of movement. It would be like floating on a leaf.
