A Zauner Chocolate Egg Against Monday's Blues

Zauner Chocolate Egg
From looking at it,
you would never guess
where this egg
is sitting so prettily,
or would you?
Alright then,
guess
! :-)

  2. I like this idea of the Austrian Konditorei to keep these "old fashioned" labels...

  3. I think that I'm starting to get the hang of this, chocolate, coffee and beautiful scenery. If you keep this up, everyone will want to go there.

  5. That little video was fun. When I clicked on the first photo, I thought I was seeing a statue of chocolate until my eyes made sense of where my brain was. Hmmmmm...that second one could be a lawn chair? I can't tell.

  7. Tell me Merisi, does your place look like postcards from Vienna?
    I love "September" stroll!
    Those images are...ohhh..I am drooling!

  10. PARIS BREAKFASTS,
    *chuckle*

    LARA,
the original labels, that is. Yes, I like the attitude that life needs to be celebrated, if only with a good piece of chocolate. ;-)

    BUTTERNUT SQUASH,
did you know that the Austrian Emperor Francis Joseph used to summer in Bad Ischl? He had his reasons. ;-)

    A BRUSH WITH COLOR,
the egg sits between the slats of a white park bench (I had to use a small stone to prop it up and tilt it at an angle where it would sit the way I wanted it to). ;-)

    WILLOW,
the guy with the egg slides is a genius, isn't he? I watched it more than once. *smile'

  12. THE GIRL FROM CHERRY BLOSSOM STREET,
my place? You mean the city and country I live in?

This is hard to answer. As far as I am concerned, I am more than happy that I live here now and I love living in Vienna and exploring the other regions of Austria. To make the answer short, I would say that if you have a positive attitude and want to see the beauty of the place, yes, it is easy to find in Vienna and other areas of Austria images that look like conventional picture postcards. I try to see beyond them - and not only because my motivation is not to compete with professional photographers, but to document "my Vienna" and beyond, a visual journal of my travel to discover my own place here.

    LA LENA SOUS LE FIGUIER,
so did I and I agree on the chocolate! :-)

    CHARLES GRAMLICH,
luckily, the egg session happened after sitting with my family at Zauner's for three hours with tea and coffee, eating my own cake and all that ice-cream around. ;-)

  13. THE GIRL FROM CHERRY BLOSSOM STREET,
that post had been published by mistake. I re-published it when I realized that there were already comments there, after initially putting it back into draft.
    Thanks for telling me.
I have some older posts though, where the images have disappeared. No idea how. ;-)

  14. Hi Merisi,
I tend to be confusing when I
write. Sorry ;-) That was really a rhetorical question after seeing your amazing images...
    By place, I meant your home/house/apartment :-)

Thank you for responding though :-)

  16. Merisi, I would be fatter, much fatter than I am if I lived in your beautiful chocolate...I mean City.

And, yes please, sounds like the perfect pick me up.
