  1. Sending you smiles and blue skies.
I spied the pink! Sneaky girl. Can't fool me when it comes to apple tarte!

  2. I really like the mood your capture in your pictures. Is it my mistake or do you like the theme of solitude a lot ?

  3. Yes, I saw the very yummy looking pink, but I must confess that I was smitten with the silver sugar bowl. :) It's so elegant!

  4. So whose are the little pink fingers on the right?

Plus - you have to tell us - how did you get everyone to coordinate their umbrellas outside Demel's.

    Thank you! :-)
    The theme of solitude?
    I haven't thought about that.
Maybe it's a certain cognitive morbidity that takes ahold of oneself in face of all this ephemeral beauty here in Vienna?
I like to see "A Thing of Beauty" as John Keats has it expressed:

    A Thing of Beauty

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its lovliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathing
A flowery band to bind us to the earth,
Spite of despondence, of the inhuman dearth
Of noble natures, of the gloomy days,
Of all the unhealthy and o'er-darkn'd ways
Made for our searching: yes, in spite of all,
Some shape of beauty moves away the pall
From our dark spirits. Such the sun, the moon,
Trees old and young, sprouting a shady boon
For simple sheep; and such are daffodils
With the green world they live in; and clear rills
That for themselves a cooling covert make
'Gainst the hot season; the mid-forest brake,
Rich with a sprinkling of fair musk-rose blooms:
And such too is the grandeur of the dooms
    We have imagined for the mighty dead;
An endless fountain of immortal drink,
Pouring unto us from the heaven's brink.

    Ann (MobayDP):
You cannot imagine how much I have tried to find out where that sugar bowl can be purchased. I know it's made in France, but more no one would divulge at Demel's. :-(

    Sally Crawford:
    Oh no! Hannibal? ;-)

How to coordinate blue umbrellas outside Demel's? Easy: Take a busload of tourists and hand out free umbrellas. :-)))

    Mélanie:
    Good girl!
    Wanna play "I spy!"? :-)))
