Sudden Summer Showers on Michaelerplatz

Summer storm clouds
threatening over Michaelerplatz
Michaelertor
St. Michael's Gate

St. Michael's Church

Down came the rain
St. Michael's Wing of the Imperial Winter Palace
(Hofburg)

And horse and carriage got wet

Baby carriage also

Attempting a quick escape?

Yes, Virginia,
There's the sun shining,
Right around the corner!

Rain ahead,
Sun in the back?

Another daring escape

The Royal Rain Tour?
Sign of the times

Blue
I'm coming back some day, come what may
To Blue Bayou

Still raining
Giving waiting at the Blue Bayouank
A whole new meaning
(in the Alfred Loos building)

Hoping
that the pants stay dry?

Raindrops
Keep falling

Bikers
More quick escapes ...

.. and ...

... waiting!

Singing in the rain

Oh, can you see?
Rain Fashion Parade

Out comes the sun ...

  2. Thank you, Mary, I am glad you finally got the sun back!
Yes, the downpour was very refreshing, especially when you wore a linen dress like me and were soaked to the bone. I felt like a wet mouse. The sun came back in full force, and I was dry in now time, though. :-)

I love the way you use the sun's reflection on the wet cobblestones.

  12. Oh we had a sudden rainfall, too. I have posted a photo of the clouds gathering above the gulf. The temperature dropped from 35C to 15C in a matter of less than an hour. Love summer storms, especially when I can take refuge at a nearby cafe!
