Twelve Hours: Dawn to Dusk

5.40 am
the moon in the trees

Noon
you are not the wind in the orchard

2.00 pm

5.30 pm

5.40 pm
not even close
to being the field of cornflowers at dusk

It might interest you to know,
speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,
that I am the sound of rain on the roof.

I also happen to be the shooting star,
the evening paper blowing down an alley,
and the basket of chestnuts on the kitchen table.

  6. Lovely, that first photo in the series.
You have hit upon the epitome of my favorite color.
    Moonlit, night-time blue.
