  2. The black-and-white wallpaper in the background shows the arrival and departure hall of the Vienna Westbahnhof. I love how the little shots of colour from the royal blue of the turban and the light wood of the counter contrast with the monochrome image and the black chairs in the foreground.

I like Earl Grey, mine is a melange of Darjeeling and Assam, flavored with Bergamot oil; in the afternoons I drink Chai tea every now and then, Haas&Haas of Vienna sells a "Masala Chai" spice blend of excellent quality, with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and black pepper (I imagine your tea must taste much closer to heaven than mine).

  4. Hi Merisi,

    Happy New Year!

I just got back from 2-week vacation in Austria (Vienna, Salzburg, and Graz). I had the best time there! People I met durng the trip, like museum, transportation, restaurant, and shop employees, were so friendly and spoke English well. Is learning English part of your education? My husband who speaks a little bit German is in love with Ausrtia now.

Thanks again for your blog, which helped me plan the trip.

PS. I am the one asked you about the dress code for concerts in Musikverein.
