  1. It's a lovely picture! St Stephen's?
Is the Graben changed into a Christmas market?
And yes, the lady in red is an example to us all.

    1. Elizabeth,
I took the picture (with a 70s wideangle lens I need to learn to handle) from were Graben ends (right into Stock-im-Eisen-Platz, to the right, and St. Stephen's Square towards the cathedral).
Yes, there is a Christmas market going on. I walked past there on Sunday afternoon with my friends from London and they loved it. I have not had a look at what they sell, being distracted by a church flea market going on right inside a building opoosite the cathedral. Got the nicest crotcheted white Christmas trees (me who says she's not willing to succumb to the buying frenzy … falala la la lala …) ;-)

    1. That's why I published it, even though I am aware anyone with a tripod could get way better shot. ;-) That square, an intersection of three squares (if you count Graben as a square) and several streets, is fascinating any time of the day and season of the year.

  5. Sometimes we get the best shots when someone walks right into the picture. Viennese ladies have always been particularly chick.

  6. Loved that the Lady in Red photo-bombed your picture! As for St Stephen's Square, I think it is a gorgeous shot, and wish I could be in the middle of it right now!
