Are you reading my Blog via Google Reader?
You'll need to switch to another Reader Option
before Midnight today!

Google Reader
Google is retiring its RSS news-feed service as of July 1.
Here is a link to a recent BBC news article about the closure:
Fans braced for Google Reader's demise flock to new services

If you have not switched yet,
here are the links to two bloggers
who have written extensively about the options:
David Lebovitz of Living the Sweet Life in Paris
and
Kaly of Kalyn's Kitchen

Feedly Cloud
I decided to try my luck with Feedly Cloud,
but was initially stopped in my tracks when
I clicked beyond their log-in button -
the first line "this app would like to"
asked for more than I was willing to share:
"View basic information about your account",
i.e. name, public profile, photo, birth date, etc.

I realized only today, that I only needed to let them
"Manage your data in Google Reader"

And here I am, looking forward to continue reading
your blogs! If you cannot find your blog on the list,
would you please be so kind and let me know?

A wonderful Sunday to all of you,
Merisi

  3. I migrated to Feedly about a month ago, and I'm actually liking it more than Google Reader.

    1. Carol,
I confess I still don't "get it" - it seemed without switching I was going to lose my blogroll, which I have collected over the years, lovingly, I might add. I always read new posts from my blogroll.
