What to do on a rainy Day in Vienna
May Showers at Prince Eugene's Belvedere

A Route of Evanescence
With a revolving Wheel --

A Resonance of Emerald --
A Rush of Cochineal --

And every Blossom on the Bush
Adjusts its tumbled Head --

The mail from Tunis, probably,
An easy Morning's Ride -

Poem by Emily Dickinson

Photographed on this morning
of 18 May 2013 between showers -
and imaginary mail delivery -
at Prince Eugene's Upper Belvedere
and the Belvedere's Alpine Garden

  1. No, no special effects - I simply turned the reflection of the Upper Belvedere Palace upside down. ;-)

    1. It was very windy at times, and I almost missed a moment where the small wind-swept waves would allow some reflections.

    1. I love Emily Dickinson's imagery, like these few lines, her take on the postman delivering the mail, or the world.

  5. Thank you! :-)
This is one of many poems I know by heart. I improvise a lot when I put together a blog post. I took about 350+ pictures this morning, and these are the ones that inspired me. Today. Tomorrow, who knows?

  6. Thank you for stopping by my blog, Merisi. I did leave you a little response to your question. These images are so soft & pastel-like, tender, misty impressions... going so well with her poetry...
