    1. Sort of moving right along, with the cold. That day, though, I was only able to work with the 50mm lens and a hood. Too much snow coming down.

j'espère que le conducteur de la voiture a finalement réussi à s'extirper de la congère! En ce moment on a plus vite fait à pied ! lol :D
Bon week-end Merisi, au chaud, dans un merveilleux Café Viennois... Ah le rêve !

The driver may have had to get out of the car and take up a shovel! ;-)

  6. The first two pictures made me gasp with their beauty! I am in awe.

The last one (with its caption) made me laugh. I hope the guy isn't still in there waiting for the snow to melt!

    1. There's so much beauty in nature, isn't it?
Some days I dream of living in the countryside, taking macro pictures in nature. ;-)

    1. It was not too pretty today around here, grey sky, cold. I am just glad I got some exercise walking through a cemetery and then back home, sticking close to the radiator. ;-)

    1. You are right, winter's only just begun! ;-)

Martin Luther King holiday and President's weekend are feared in the Washington, DC area for the amount of snow that can come down then. I remember January 2004 or 2005, just as much if not more snow than we are having here right now, and nothing moved anymore. One of our neighbors opened his house for potluck and Super Bowl on TV. Cabin fever had pretty much taken over by then. ;)

  11. Dear Merisi, Is it unusual to have this much snow in Vienna? It's beautiful and so are your photographs.

    1. Gina,
I have seen a few heavy snow days since arriving in Vienna, but this much within 24 hours is a record in my books. ;-)
Hope your winter is kind to you now,
      Merisi

  14. An optimist driver in the snow is the opposite of your regular optimist (the one that sees the glass half FULL). The optimist driver in the snow, sees the street half EMPTY of snow :-).
