  2. Merisi, there are cupcakes...and then, there are CUPCAKES! These are certainly not the homemade kind. What lovely edges you captured on the plate...so crisply cut and the cupcakes are little diet distracting treasures!

  3. Cupcakes in Vienna are a surprise to me! It's clear that the skill and artistry of the Viennese bakers have already elevated the notion of what a cupcake can be.

The blue hour photos of that lush garden have also fed my eyes and soul.

Each of the still life photos that began with the red cup is a contemporary classic.

Merisi, I forgot to take my camera with me today, and of course, saw quite a few sights that I so wished to capture. Surely tomorrow will provide more opportunities.

    Best wishes. xo

  5. Thank you all for your kind comments!

I am running out to work on a school project, and I am hoping to have time to capture more cupcakes in the late afternoon! I completely forgot to sit down and taste one yesterday, so used to not eat the food in front of me. *giggles*

A wonderful weekend to you all,
    Merisi

  7. Prettiest cupcakes I've ever seen! I also just loved the still life with red coffee cup pictures. I'm in awe of your photographic skill and envious of your life in Viennese coffee houses. (Yes,in my imagination I see you actually living in these stylish cafes while making the odd day trips to exquisite palaces and gardens ... please don't tell me it's not so!) :))

  8. Those have got to be the most elegant and most delectable-looking cupcakes in the whole wide world, Merisi. I'm not surprised that they are "Viennese cupcakes."

  9. We got our first one in Trondheim this spring. Started by a young couple. So far it is a huge success!

  10. They may be called cupcakes, but their elegance belongs to a different tradition, a different world. I think the little butterfly on the top represents well the impression given by the whole pastry and your photo captures well its essence.

  11. Surely, cupcakes like that do NOT have calories. They are the stuff on which angels feed.

  12. I don't think they could present them in a more tempting way.. beautiful.
