Tree and Windows

Tree at my window
Window Tree

Tree at my window, window tree,
My sash is lowered when night comes on;

But let there never be curtain drawn
Between you and me.

Vague dream-head lifted out of the ground,
And thing next most diffuse to cloud,

Not all your light tongues talking aloud
Could be profound.

But tree, I have seen you taken and tossed,
And if you have seen me when I slept,

You have seen me when I was taken and swept
And all but lost.

That day she put our heads together,
Fate had her imagination about her,

Your head so much concerned with outer,
Mine with inner, weather.

  5. Oh, wow! I am a huge fan of window boxes--I used to deadhead like crazy and have the prettiest window boxes for all to see. I got all sorts of compliments on 'em. These are fabulous! Love all of these, Merisi!

I am still on my break but I am dropping by to say hello to one of my favorites.

Not a dry leaf shakes nor a dead head hangs. Such perfection.

  13. These photos bring back thoughts of Vail, my previous home. Of course, Vail is just an imitation of the European alpine countryside, and I know that since I spent my fourth birthday in Megeve. Still, the style touches me.

  14. I so love flowering window-boxes. Something my abodes have always lack - a serious oversight IMO! Thanks for letting me enjoy your views of them.
