the night is lit up by thorns, and the thunder
of leaves, once so quiet within the bushes,
rumbling at our heels.

  6. That's a new and unforgettable way to think about roses: a storm of roses, the night is lit up by thorns, the thunder of leaves...rumbling at our heels. Wonderful!
