Rainy With a Chance of Tumbling Roses

A Very Rainy Saturday Morning
at the Farmers' Market

No matter,
a true Viennese
instinctively knows
how to dress
for the occasion
!

Look again,
the outfit above can be worn
even along fresh cut roses!

On a grey-sky day
only a sky-blue pail
would do with barely pink,

while the sunny yellow
flatters the lemony shade
of the roses!

  1. It seems the rain only enhances the beauty of Vienna...at least when viewed through Merisi's camera lens. I love the rain boots! The whole outfit creating a wonderful bouquet of colour itself.

I do believe that rain makes cities shine! :-)

    My Castle in Spain,
if I hadn't been so busy capturing her cheerful outfit, I would have asked her where she got the boots! :-)

  15. The petals heavy with drops are luscious. I think sometimes the lighting is dramatic for photos after a rain, or during a light rain. These photos are just beautiful.

  18. In England we are having gloriously blue skies. Perhaps your weather from last week has travelled west? (I will prepare myself for roses and rain by Wednesday. But I need some lime-green wellies! Mine are a dull brown.)

  19. Beautiful Farmers Market flowers look good against the rain. Like that rain gear and how she matches the flowers too!

  24. I particularly love the title of this post (along with the pictures) because my husband and I always make up imaginary and fantastical weather reports at the end of every day.

Ours go a little like this:

    - Occasional showers with a chance of firestorms.

    - Rain with the possibility of frozen lizards falling from the sky.

    - Sunny with a chance of locusts.

    etc...etc...
