  3. Sez,
this is one of my favorite places to visit in Venice.

I am also in love with that angel.
Isn't he beautiful? It was early evening when I took these pictures, with the light fading fast. I will have to get back to Venice, to take pictures in better light. I also need to find the artist who created him. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that he is a work by Antonio Canova.

  5. A wonderful juxtaposition of the cello, the statue and the shadow. And a lovely rich chestnut colour of the cello. And evocative music behind them.

  6. A superb post for my Suday morning.
I listened to and enjoyed all of them. The prof plays the violin so that I have seen many string instrument museums.
This was such a delightful chanfe to automatic pops on so many sites.

  10. Britt-Arnhild - thank you!
Make sure to visit this magical place on your next visit to Venice!

Wandring Star - I am happy you appreciate it: I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out the right composition, bending and kneeling and generally making a fool of myself. I had the problem of poor light and - as usual - no tripod either. ;-)

Arija - it's a wonderful feeling being able to contribute to someone's morning, thank you for telling me! :-)

I am glad you appreciate the experience of being able to wander without clutter through more of my picture world. I love sharing it with you!

Charles Gramlich - I was half expecting that you'd tell me that you'd love to steal away with the angel! *giggle*

Jujita - thank you! It was such a wonderful experience and moment in time, I had to hold on to it.

    Marisa Perry Atelier ,
welcome, Marisa, and thank you! :-)

    david mcmahon,
I love that shadow too, thank you! :-)
