  2. I know l'm bad, but at work l check the blog, as you do!

And half a dozen people are always gathered behind me in awe at your images....l so wish l lived in a place where the town was so classy and picturesque..
or perhaps l should take my camera for a turn around the city to see if l can see anything that would pass as europeon style.

  5. Gorgeous pictures as usual; I haven't visited in a while but am charmed every time.

We celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday the 13th! It doesn't seem to have brought us bad luck, though.

  11. Thanks so much for your tips, Merisi!! I will definitely have to look for that. Also, I've lurked long enough without commenting--I absolutely adore your daily pictures! They make me feel like I'm back in Wien, even though I'm now far from Austria. I really miss the beautiful city. Thank you for helping me to remember it. And Happy Valentine's Day!

  12. Merisi -
I am laughing! Your mind is brilliant! In reply to your comment about how I tied the bow - The bow itself is pinned on, and the part that looks like a ribbon going across my wrist I added with Photoshop. I felt it needed to be tethered instead of looking as if it was floating there. You made my day!

  16. Lilly of the Valley reminds me of my Mother. it was her favorite scent. You have posted some very romantic and lovely photos. I wonder if that is Cinderella in the carriage?

  17. Wishing you lots of hearts, chocolates, flowers, and most importantly....love....on this Valentine's Day. You "gift" me everyday with your beautiful photos and words.

Oh.....my wonderful husband gave me a DVD of Andre Rieu Live in Vienna. I was watching it on PBS one night and Big Daddy came in and joined me. Brought back SO many fond memories of our trip to Vienna. Between the two of you, I keep those memories alive! Thank you!!

  20. Such a tender, quiet post - most unlike brash New York.
Loved the cool colored elegant flowers - and the young couple at Delia's cafe.

  21. In trying to decide which photo I loved best, I stumbled back to the Lily of the Valley and thought of our home in England and so of course...it wins hands down.
    Lovely they all are!
